This started happening about a week ago (perhaps more, only noticed recently), but all of my android players are displaying this issue.
Any of the “Recommendations” panels for any of my show libraries are showing a (seemingly) random other item in the list in place of the proper title/description. See photos below. Sorry for the quality, the problem only occurs (so far) on Show Libraries on android TV players, so I took photos. When I highlight any item that is a single episode it displays correctly, but any other item type (such as multiple items collapsed into a season, or an entire show) will show another item.
In this first pic, I highlight the Samurai Rabbit new season. It displays the proper poster in the upper right, and when selected, loads up that newly added season. But the selection’s text and description are instead of the angry birds season 03, seen 3 entries to the right.
Next, I select the new The Croods season, but it’s title and description is for another item 4 entries to the right.
The next item is a single episode of a show, so its title and description are correct. Moving to the 4th item though, the angry birds season, it is now listing the title of the next item to the right.
This repeats over and over. The title for any non-episode entry seems to pick a random item in the first page or so of my list. This repeats randomly, still picking items from the start of the list somewhere. The description CAN include the title/description of one of the entries that is a single episode (not shown in my pics). After scrolling further and further right, it seems to start picking only one or two of the items from the start to incorrectly title, and finally just repeats one of the shows.
This happens on any TV Show library, the exact same (wrong) random title/description. It can SOMETIMES be the correct title/description, but I suspect only because it randomly picked the same show the selection was on.
The other recommendation layers below, such as “Start Watching” or “Top Rated TV” will pick a single entry from the 5 seen on the front of the list, and every single entry will have that one title/description. I suspect the reason that these other recommendation menus don’t randomize, might be because there are no “single episode” entries that can break up the selection process.
Tested happens on Android Nvidia Shield player, and Amazon Fire TV (Toshiba) player.
Does not happen on web client, iPhone app, or Plex-for-Windows. (Those apps display the title/description text immediately under the item rather than elsewhere)
