TV Show Not Matched And No Match Option In List

I have come across the first TV show that Plex could not match to their database, which is not really a problem, but when you open the pop up menu there is no option provided to either MATCH the show or, as is most often shown, FIX MATCH option. It is as though Plex doesn’t think it is actually a show. Little confused. Screen Shot 02-06-20 at 09.45 AM

Match/Fix Match is only available at the show level, not the individual episodes. Go up to the top-level of the show and click its vertical ellipsis. You should have Match/Fix Match in that menu.

When I go to the highest level I can find, where is shows the main display with the seasons below, there is no vertical ellipsis available, it should show in this picture but it does not. This the right level? Screen Shot 02-06-20 at 10.12 AM

The ellipsis is in the upper, right corner of the screen. The part you have cropped.

Testing reveals that show is too new for TVDB or Plex to do much with it right now.

I used:

A TV Show Library\
...McMillon$\
......Season 01\
.........McMillion$ - S01E01.mp4
(yep, I didn't believe it either)

I got no match, no search option, but when using the TVDB ID# 373265 in the Title Field of Search Options for TVDB - I got this:

McMillion$
McMillion$938×533 106 KB

… and Boy, am I going to feel dumb if that’s not the right show…lol

I just did a fix match and searched for “McMillion” on TheTVDB and it matched it. Maybe it has a problem with the dollar sign? And… no. Another search with it included finds it fine.

Could be… I’ll try again.

Filebot insists my ‘test files’ are ‘The Andromeda Strain’ and I can’t seem to talk it out of it… so I’m wingin’ it.

I just did another “Fix Match” with the dollar sign included and it found it.

Thanks, never associated that ellipsis with an individual show, thought it had to do with Plex platform. Works great, thanks.

Made no difference for me.

McMillion didn’t match, got no search find, couldn’t do anything apart from the TVDB ID# - and that works. I did Clean Bundles between tries so I gave it every chance to ‘do the right thing’.

Maybe it’s ‘propagating’, or Space Aliens… and until I can do a lobotomy on my FileBot, or the show comes up Live at TVDB, we’ll probably not know how to name it - technically.

This worked for me. Typing in just “McMillion”.
