I wish the Plexians would have a bug report area
If you are DVR-recording and Watching the same channel the TV Tuner in plex says there are two channels busy, while in fact the TV-TUNER (HW device) only has a single channel busy. Pictures attached.
This reduces the available free tuners and might prevent a recording session (although i have not confirmed this behavior).
I was able to confirm that the PLEX tuner status indicators seems driven by the NUMBER of sessions, not how many different channels are watched. However, even if all the PLEX statuses tuners are busy (three red dots), the next live TV session (which would be number 4 in my situation) is allowed and tunes correctly.
Therefore seems the red dots are incremented on player-sessions not tuned-channels. Doesn’t seem to impact Plex-Tuner function or DVR function (confirmed).
