TVDB DVD Order Not Pulling Correctly

I added Ben 10 (2005) to my library and selected TVDB (DVD Order). Plex is pulling the season 4 episode titled “Secret of the Omnitrix” as S04E01 while TVDB’s DVD order shows it as S04E11. I have done the Plex Dance and ensured that local metadata is being ignored. All episodes are named according to the TVDB order. Are there any other solves I am missing or is it an Agent side issue? Thanks for your help!

I am having the same problem for MASH.

I have created on TVDB a Syndicated Order (which from an API perspective is Alternate order) but when I set advanced options for the series to use this data, literally zero metadata is loaded (no series descriptions or poster art, no episode descriptions, just the series description, background and poster art which is independent of the Metadata Order selected).

Do you know when the Syndicated order was create by TVDB for MASH?. I had to refresh metadata to get it to show Syndicated in the menu but like you episodes not loading so some issue. it is possible we have not completely ingested that order yet causing issues with individual episodes. I will let metadata team know. Thanks for report.

@Lyophi Ben 10 DVD order appears to be working when i checked today. I don’t know the show very well. Can you refresh metadata on it and check

@Sophist_UK MASH Syndicated order seems to have updated it self on it’s own as far as I can tell. Please refresh metadata for that show and see if it is correct for you now

@BigWheel No - still not correct - no series posters, no series descriptions, no episode descriptions.

@Sophist_UK afaict this is what you changed. Made “Our Finest Hour” two separate episodes instead of one is that correct? I seem to get thta info fine

Can you change it to like the TheMovieDB one and change it back.If you renamed episode files since adding that order then “scan for files” as well. You might have to do plex dance

@BigWheel It looks like it is now working here is what I did just now…

  1. Switched from TVDB (Aired) to TVDB (Alternate). No descriptions or series posters.
  2. Refreshed metadata. Still no descriptions or series posters.
  3. Went to switch back to TVDB (Aired) and found TVDB (Alternate) was no longer in the dropdowns but TVDB (Syndicated) was now in the list. Switched to TVDB (Syndicated) and descriptions and series posters reappeared.

Still not perfect because some of the posters I uploaded to TVDB have disappeared, but it does seem to be working.
