tvOS/iOS apps crash when trying to select version

On my Apple TV and iPhone (both on iOS/tvOS 18), whenever I go to “Play Version” and try to select the 1080p copy of a movie instead of the 4K copy, the app immediately crashes.

Normally I keep my Plex Player quality setting on “maximum” so it will direct play. I tried lowering it to a smaller value, but I had the same problem.

If I remove the 4K copy from my server, then the 1080p copy will play just fine. It only crashes when I try selecting it through “play version”.

Tried searching for the topic on the forums, and I only found one similar post with no resolution or followup:

That user was on the beta versions of iOS/tvOS, but I am on the regular public release.

Any ideas?
