Two Issues - Trailers are inconsistent and preroll inconsistent

I’m running a Plex server on a Synology NAS, I’ve got OS X, Roku, IOS, Android, and Amazon Fire Stick clients connecting.

I’m finding that movie trailers and pre-rolls are working inconsistently. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don’t. My system clock times are all correct.

I’ve seen problems reported before, but they were years ago, and most of those topics have been closed.

Are all those clients/libraries configured to show trailers/prerolls?

Edit: is this about trailers from your own library or online cinema trailers via Plex Pass?

I didnt see anywhere where you could configure that… hmmm. Both mine and Plex Pass trailers.

Usually each client have their own configuration on if / how many trailers to play.
Should be something like Settings > Experience > Cinema Trailers on most of them.
e.g. for Roku, iOS…

That did it. I assumed it would be a server setting, not a client setting :slight_smile:

Server enables if you want to support trailers/prerolls at all and for what libraries. Clients decide if / how many trailers they want to see before a movie.

That makes sense to me, given I definitely want to see some fancy preroll on the big screen with my home theatre enabled – not so much on a mobile device / on the road. :wink:
