Having lost episodes because Dave was wrong, I manually changed the guide channel to match the device channel.
Now you’ve corrected it, thanks.
However, I have discovered this correction purely by chance 3 days after your post and so have manually change the guide channel back to re-match the (now corrected) device channel. I daren’t look right now to see how many more episodes I have just lost. ….
@sa2000 and @cire12,
Just to let you guys both know that they’re moving channels around again on Freeview here in the UK, just to add a little excitement into your update to the UK EPG!! True Entertainment and True Movies +1 and True Entertainment are now on 48 . 50 & 61
Hows the UK 5 regions coming on @cire12? Will we see the updated EPG’s soon? Just enquiring…
Sorry to jump on your thread but I’m missing a couple of channels with the new EPG provider (using Freeview Tyne Tees OTA Broadcast). How do you report these?
For True Movies, look at 050 True Christmas, I had this working yesterday before the channel moved to the local mux
The others i am missing also
The official way they want problems reported is through the form above (thought they have taken forums posts in the last few days as evidence of issues)
Once you start looking at the EPG, there are quite a lot of issues, so reporting via the form is not an ideal way
I see a lot of them just say Channel Name programming. To be honest I’d rather it say that then have nothing at all, at least you can enable the channel to watch unlike previously
We are hoping uk lineups will be in a good shape for Monday morning
With channel number changes, it is necessary to go through a Delete DVR and recreate DVR sequence to correct existing alignment of schedule data and also to reset any manual channel mapping which may no longer be valid
Please note that Delete DVR May appear to be synchronous action - but it is not
So leave a couple of minutes between the delete and recreate
@sa2000 I doubt I’m in any mood at present to remove the DVR again anytime soon after last night, but I will wait till Monday to see what the outcome will be.
On the other side of the EPG, here are the channels that are having issues with descriptions etc…
ITV 1, Really, ITVBe, Yesterday, ITV2, 5Star, 5Spike, 5Select, 5Star+1, ITVBE+1, TBN Europe, ITV1 HD (xyz Programming)
Paramount, YourTV, Smithsonian (Unknown Airing or Radio Programming)
ITV1+1, Sewing Quarter, PBS America, Travelxp (TBA)
Most of the Radio Channels (xyz Programming or TBA)
Hi all, trying to contribute to the missing/wrong channels. Currently running 1.16.1.1291 beta.I am in the Coventry area so should be getting reception from the Sutton Coldfield, Central TV region.
Most of the EPG options for the area are wrong with Dave/Quest mixups however FrewView Play Central (West) IPTV seems the best selection however the following still have issues: (Compared to Sony TV on same antenna)
The following channels are listed as avalible 83 NOW 80s, 84 Now 90s, 91 PBS America, 92 Pick +1 but no EPG avalible. (Could be bad reception anyway as my Sony TV doesnt have them)
Part of the problem is even the main industry websites doesnt seem to agree - Freeview Channel guide downloaded today from the website still lists Dave on channel 12 and Quest on 37 - no wounder there is confusion.
Edit (Sunday afternoon): So NOW 80s, NOW 90s, PBS America and Pick+1 require HD capable equipment which explains why my Sona TV doesnt get them.
I also tried another option during set up and I got more of the missing EPG options however E4 was still missing. If I get time I will go through the offical DigitalUK list for my postcode and create a better list of errors.
@paulsalter You are quite right about reporting the missing channels, and I have since 9 timbres now as I did when it was Gracenote, and it seems deaf eyes and blind ears is the issue!! So reporting them is a no go for me at this moment in time, but once it all goes live on Monday @sa2000, @cire12 and other Plex members who deal with the live TV will have their work made harder… I feel for them in one way, but still they decided to rush out a broken system before we’ve finished beta testing
It has been beta tested and in my opinion from a UK point of view has so many issues, that it should not be rolled out tomorrow.
But that is down to Plex, I think they will release it to everyone and hope in a few months time people forgot about this change.
I am sure it will be rolled out tomorrow, today us the last day for Gracenote, so the EPG data will not be there from Gracenote
But looking at the above pic, our 4 biggest channels dont even have any data, and when they do have have data it’s hit/miss on whether it is correct
Not sure what magic they are going to do to make it work by Monday (needs to be working Monday UK time, not Pacific), but from the last few days it seems to be just getting worse and worse
