UK Channel Issues - 19 DAVE / 25 YESTDAY and other EPG issues

Thanks for the info on TCC - I will follow it up

We have been concentrating on the mainstream channels

I suspect that was the reason. That definitely was the reason for omitting Al Jazeera
So if freeview make an error, it will propagate down

Thanks

I have also seen the forms that you have submitted
The BT Vision iptv line ups may have errors and best to concentrate on the Freeview OTA lineups

So with "Freeview Meridian/Central OTA Broadcast" you get the channels but no program data

What i see from your screenshot is the issue I mentioned here UK Channel Issues - 19 DAVE / 25 YESTDAY and other EPG issues - #47 by sa2000 which is about the 24 hour blocks of generic program entries - these should disappear later today - a full refresh will be needed once that fix is in place - i will post here when it is fixed

it’s there…

fantastic - thanks.

Thats just the name of the channel

I was referring to the EPG that Freeview provide

@paulsalter - agh, sorry - I misunderstood your point; When you wrote “I couldn’t find it” I thought you meant that 77 TCC wasn’t recognised at all by Freeview.

I also cannot see the guide for 77, but I did take that snapshot from the Freeview website.

No problems

It’s a weird one
I dont believe there are regional variations of it

The channel page on Freeview says it’s 11:00 to 01:00, but the ota epg has it as 3 hours from 03:00
not much hope if Freeview cant get things right :frowning:

@sa2000

Hi - most of the Freeview channels are now showing (just Channel 4 outstanding for me) but there is something strange going on with 54 Paramount.

Everything appears to be on 1 hour earlier than the Freeview website shows and it is merging programmes topgather.

For example, Marvel’s Agent Carter iOS on tomorrow (according to Freeview):
03:05-03:50
03:50-04:35

Plex, has (1) merged both episodes into one program and (2) shifted an hour, showing it as:
02:05-03:35

Can you please look into these 2 issues?

Paramount is one hour out right now, so at least that is consistent (BST/GMT error?).

thanks,
James.

Paramount seems to be merging all back-to-back episodes of the same TV show into one (not just Agent Carter)…

Genre’s have all but disappeared with Freeview. Will we get these back (useful for searching)?

We walk before we run. The most important element to migrate and get right was lineups and channels

The other issues will be addressed and prioritized

@sa2000 I’m using The Freeview OTA London guide, and thank you for helping with getting a much better EPG, Channel 8 which was London Live has now changed to THATSTV? Can I have London Live back please on Channel 8?

My main point was making you aware or the missing info - I was not prioritising ibut happy to take your answer as an “eventual yes”.

Meanwhile, do you recognise the one hour error on Paramount (and the merging of back-to-back episodes)?

cheers.

Unfortunately that got lost whilst they were correcting missing regional channels for Scotland and other regions. We have flagged it to our provider already

The issue of having long periods in the grid of “xxxxx Programming” should be fixed. The data has been purged and the cache should have expired now. It needs a full manual Guide refresh to resolve

The earlier channel lineup corrections need a DVR Deletion and re create (after a minute or two after delete) to pick up - please try to pick the Freeview OTA Broadcast lineups as these are the ones that have been addressed

I am seeing all channels now which are showing correct show times etc except for the 2 Paramount problems (one hour out and combining back-back episodes). Are you also seeing this?

…Ive just noticed that 54 Paramount shows only X-Files (all day) on Thursday and “Radio Programming” after that.

On Saturday, 21 5USA and 57 5USA+1 shows “Five US programming” all day.

@sa2000 ITV Wales is still showing ITV London guide, which is totally incorrect and a number of channels are still showing Uknown airings or TBA, any time scale on getting this sorted? I’ve refreshed the guide so many times now it’s a wonder the servers haven’t folded under the strain  but seriously, there are still some issues with generics and 1 missing channel… TCC which is channel 77, even most of the radio stations are showing generic TBA or Uknown Airing…

Dave

Thanks for reporting this. I can confirm the issue. I have not yet checked the time for being 1 hour out or the merging of episodes -
