UK Channel Issues - 19 DAVE / 25 YESTDAY and other EPG issues

UK, postcode NR6; Freeview Anglia OTA Broadcast.

Channel 102 is mapping to “BBC 2 NI”. I can’t find a national flavour of BBC 2 to map instead

The programming for BBC 2 currently shows

Which all looks pretty Irish to me, and doesn’t match what’s currently being received!

Edit: for now, I’ve mapped channel 002.

I can confirm both issues. Thank you for highlighting it

Thank you for reporting, I can see that only BBC 2 NI HD is showing for 102 for the Freeview Anglia OTA Broadcast and also for the National. Will refer this to our provider

Thank you.

My workaround for 002 BBC 2 didn’t work, it made the channel disappear completely from the listings. I’ve gone back to 102 BBC 2 NI for now. I imagine most of the programming will be the same.

I have flagged this

Radio airings are not in place at the moment

I get the feeling we are getting asked to do the QA on a product that is Alpha not even Beta quality never mind ready for release. Who do we complain to considering we are paying fo this service?

Thanks. Will you let us know when fixed or do we need to keep checking? (Paramount and 5USA/+1 not fixed as of writing this).

This might be unrelated - if so, I’ll re/move it - but this morning some of my recordings worked.

1] “How I met your mother” (E4) has the error “unable to record programmes in the past”). Plex EPG showed there were 4 episodes missed, but Freeview showed there were only two.

2] “Agent Carter” (Paramount) recorded only a few minutes. This was one of the back-top-back episodes I reported yesterday,

Could these be EPG issues? …other shows recorded OK.

@JCHH When you say Paramount and 5USA+1 isn’t fixed in what way? Here in South Wales, from the Wenvoe region both cchannels seems to list great, the only channels that aren’t are a couple of the shopping channels, YourTV and the various radio stations.

Hi Dave,

Hi have copied my earlier comments on them for you below:

sa2000 acknowledges these issues, so maybe they are unique to me on Freeview Meridian/Central OTA Broadcast? …would be great of you could check if you see these issues as well.

cheers,
J.

@mw0dcmplex I just added a DVR with “Freeview Wales OTA Broadcast” and I can see I 2 of the 3 issues:
1] One hour out
2] Nothing on Sat.

I didn’t see any back-back episodes, but I imagine of you have 2 of the issues, you have all 3.

J.

Same for me with Paramount

Freeview Tyne Tees OTA

All shows are an hour early

…I have temporarily changed my Paramount recordings to finish 65 mins late to compensate for this (of course there is an hour’s worth of rubbish at the start)…

This one appears to be fixed.

@sa2000 - any update on 54 Paramount on Freeview OTA?

I have also noticed that the episodes are incorrectly named (series name* followed by air date) and therefore don’t match anything.

cheers,
J.

2nd edit by SA2000 - channel number corrected (from 57 to 54)

Hi,

I have manged to log in remotely to my system and update the channels and reload the EPG. While the channels all seem fine (thanks @sa2000) except TCC (who cares) the EPG is still an issue.

While we might not be getting “Network Programming…”, anymore some programming seems to be overriding what should be listed. For example in the image attached ITV4 has Teleshopping in the afternoon this Saturday. I know this is incorrect as Le Tour highlights are on this channel in the evening. For the moment I am having to use the repeat broadcasts in the middle of the night.

Just to note to all that I have in some cases needed to recreate recording schedules as the original ones are not picking up the new EPG. However this seems to only affect recordings set this last weekend in the last release before 1.16.1. Everything set before this, including some very long term recordings seem to work fine and have been found in the new EPG.

Edit - forgot to say although not related to this topic, series recordings have to use “New and Repeats” otherwise nothing is found.

I’ve just been checking my channel line up and I must admit I can’t remember whether these channels had mappings or not with gracenote, but I am currently missing the following:

61: True Entertainment
62: True Movies
77: TCC
85: Hochanda
211: Ketchup TV
265: Planet Knowledge
266 Sports Channel
269 Arise News

… and I have “To be announced”, “Unknown Airing” or “Movie” (Film 4) for a lot of the major channels (BBC 1, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, 5 etc…) from Thursday 4th :frowning:

211, 265, 266 and 269 are internet channels and don’t work.

Cheers @ScottSilver - that explains those then

Plus news from Freeview on June 27th - https://www.freeview.co.uk/service-updates/channel-changes-on-27-june-2019.html

Hope this helps also?
