I have an issue I would like to raise with Plex and see this forum route is the only way of doing it.
I am unable to view the usual advanced settings from http://[local ip]:32400 or from plex.tv. I can log in just fine. Local access (e.g. by clicking on the Plex icon on the NAS) shows does not show my library, and the only options available in settings are…
+Account
- Online Media Sources
- Authorised Devices
- Webhooks
- Home & Library Access
+Plex Web - General
- Debug [If General/Show Advanced is selected]
- Player
From plex.tv (again, using the admin user) I see a little more
+Account
- Online Media Sources
- Authorised Devices
- Webhooks
- Streaming Services
- Plex Home
- Manage Library Access
+Plex Web - General
- Debug [If General/Show Advanced is selected]
- Player
+[my library] with red triangle - The server “[my library]” is unreachable. Make sure it’s running…
- Try again
? Where is my server
X Remove Server
[nothing else below. Usually there’s a screen-full of menu options]
- Try again
I have previously been able to access the library, and the rest of the usual ‘advanced’ settings. On the day the problem started I was able to see all settings and was able to switch remote access on (including setting up a suitable NAT rule for the external port.) External access reported as working in the UI.
I’m not absolutely sure, but I think the point where the ‘advanced’ settings disappeared was where I switched on 2FA. Again, this was successful. I have since switched 2FA back off but the advanced settings are still unavailable and plex.tv UI can’t reach my library.
I have seen other forum reports and Plex info with lots of circular references! I have tried the various basic restart, sign in/out, etc. actions to no avail.
I may be a bit rusty, but I also see no way of being able to add a library (local or plex.tv.) Apologies if I’m missing something obvious.
