Server Version#: v1.14.1.5488-cc260c476 - Microsoft PC x64
Player Version#: 3.77.4
I am currently unable to access any of my server settings, i’ve tried restarting the server as admin and i’ve tried restarting the whole PC. Any help appreciated.
I would try this https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/
i’ve tried that and it hasn’t worked, but now the server is unclaimed and i cannot claim it.
how are you accessing it. from what URL?
i was using the local ip: 127.0.0.1
i’ve now tried to repair the server with a new download of the plex server, with another restart i seem to be able to access the settings now!
thanks for the help, i think a mix of registry clearing and the repair has worked!
I have tried what is described in this article multiple times and I still can’t access the server settings. I also rolled back to an earlier version and still can’t access them. What are my options now?
what version do you have installed? on what operating system?
I’m running 1.51 something, the latest version, on Ubuntu (Linux Mint). But here’s the weird part — I figured out what happened and it appears to be a browser issue not a Plex issue. Let me explain:
It happened while using VNC to connect to a headless server that runs Plex, in a Chrome browser (latest version). I couldn’t access the server settings because the left-hand menu didn’t go down far enough and there was no scroll bar, even though a scroll bar appeared on other parts of the Plex UI.
I tried it from my MacBook and from an iPad and ran into the same problem, but when I connected from a different machine, all of a sudden there was a scroll bar and I could get to the settings (a scroll bar also appeared when using Firefox on the target machine). It seems bizarre, but there you have it. Posting this because I thought it might help someone else.
