Unable to access plex media server on file explorer

hello,
i hope someone that’s familiar with AVG can help me

i’m unable to access my plex media server
on my qlog (QNAP), it says “deny smb1 host security limitation”
qnap thinks AVG is blocking access to the media server, but
i can’t find which setting is doing this (i have basic protection)

can anyone help?

Sounds more like your share is using SMB1. Many platforms have dropped support for such shares as they’re no longer secure.

how do i change this and what should i use?

it looks like SMB2 is enabled

Let’s break down what we’re dealing with…
Am I interpreting this correctly:

  • You’re running your Plex Media Server on this Windows machine?
  • Your media is stored on the QNAP and you’re (trying to?) mount it from the Windows machine?

If so, you’ll probably need to verify the system settings on the QNAP for its shares not to use SMB1.

i think that’s correct
although, i think the media is already mounted because i can see it on the plex server
but i can’t play anything because of the deadbolt issue
so now i’m trying to access the media folder from file explorer to remove
the encrypted files
i was able to find the SMB settings and it’s set to SMB3 (highest) and SMB 2.1 (lowest)
so i restarted my compter

i changed the name of the media library back to what it was before QNAP support changed it
now i’m i’m getting the error message below

i also tried to access the network location and received this message
and thanks for your help so far
