My Synology PMS is still a mess. What am I/we supposed to do to resolve this?

If the NAS is running DSM 7: FAQ 31: Reset / Reclaim PMS on DSM 7 (Not Authorized - Locked Out)

If the NAS is running DSM 6: FAQ 15: Claiming & Connecting to a troublesome Synology server
