Unable to access server after password reset

I received the mail about the security issue (“Important Notice of Security Incident “) and I reset and changed my password. However, after logging back in, I lost access to my server. I still see its name in the servers list but it’s listed as “unreachable” with a red alert triangle.

Tried editing the preferences.xml file, but no luck getting access.

Tried to remove the server form the settings menu, but no option to reclaim whatsoever.
Any ideas anyone? thanks

Wow, that is what I call great advice!

I solved the issue by using Server credential reset utility of ChuckPA, which worked like a charm. Thanks for this quick advice / fix!

I have Plex installed natively on QNAP and I am in NY but my QNAP is in Florida. I have tried everything possible short of deleting PMS from my QNAP and reinstalling. These fix instructions are completely Greek to me. Where EXACTLY is the preferences.xml file? How do I run these on a remote machine? Oh, and if Plex is listening: GET YOUR ■■■■ TOGETHER
