I have been accessing my Plex server on my two Samsung TV’s for years now.
A couple of days ago I found that, although my server is shown in my preferences on both tv’s, it is not accessible. Interestingly remote access to my son’s remote server is available.
My internet runs from a modem/router through a D-Link Covr router (for signal boost) but this has been the case for years and nothing about that has changed.
I have tried deleting the Plex App on the TV and reinstalling but this has not resolved the issue.
Is anyone able to assist in resolving this problem please?
Problem resolved.
Unbeknown to me my internet security software has now added a firewall and my Plex network had been designated as untrusted. Once I changed that to trusted it all now works again.
