Unable to add media folders to NAS (Permissions have been granted)

Some background, recently had to get plex support (thanks again!) to reset my account after it got hacked. Got my account back with 2FA enabled.

Trying to add back my media folders on my DS220+ but unable to see the folders at all, its like my NAS doesn’t exist. I’m pretty sure its not a permission/access issue as I have granted full permission/access to Plex Media Server on my NAS, together with the media folders.

Really stumped as to how to resolve this, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Which version of DSM (5/6 or 7) and to which local/functional user did you grant access to the directories/shares?

DSM 5/6 user should be Plex.
DSM 7 user should be PlexMediaServer .

I’m a DSM7 user, so its granted to PlexMediaServer

When picking a folder from Add Folder… do you get to see any folders, just not the shares? Do you see the share’s top level folder but not its contents?

I can see all the drives and folders on my desktop, including folder contents beyond the top level. My NAS folders are nowhere in sight though.

I have a feeling we’re talking about two separate things at the moment.
Have you reclaimed your server after you’ve gone through the account restoration and can you e.g. access the server’s settings, existing libraries?

If not, try to claim the server before proceeding:

Thank you so much, that worked! I feel so silly now, Thought my server wasn’t affected so I didn’t think I had to claim the server back.
