Unable to Empty Trash

Running PMS on Windows Server 2012R2, running Oct 19 Cumulative Updates.

The previous release before the current, I noticed that media i was deleting was no longer being marked with the Garbage Can. Clicking the media still shows that it’s unavailable. I have my server set NOT to auto empty trash. When I manually Empty Trash on the Library called “Movies” , nothing visually happens and the deleted media remains.

I tried setting my PMS to Auto Empty Trash, no difference. I crawled the logs and saw the media was infact marked as offline in the scanner log. I can’t make sense of any other log entries to understand why the media is not getting removed from the library.

Please turn off verbose logging, recreate the problem, and provide new logs.

It looks like you have your library also pointing to a “4k movies” folder that no longer exists. When the scanner sees this, it will not empty the trash. Remove this folder from the library and try again.

Yup that was the problem. I removed the folder form the Library and it started working again.
