Unable to load data on 4G/5G

Server Version#: 1.28.2.6151
Player Version#: Plexamp 4.3.0
On Pixel 5, Android 13.
On 4G/5G Plexamp cannot load any music whatsoever - “Unable to load data. This makes me sad.”
Green tick on remote access.
Normal Plex mobile app works without any issues to stream movies or music on 4G/5G
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still the same.
It’s a bit ridiculous that for a paid product, there is no official support channel other than for billing enquiries.
Plexamp works fine on my home wifi - havent been able to try on a different wifi network yet.
This is stopping me from using Plexamp on Android Auto and when I’m out and about, which is the only reason I have a Plex Pass.

Any suggestions?

Any details about your remote access configuration?
IIRC, the mobile iOS client will be able to connect to an IPv6-only remote access setup, while many other clients (incl. Plexamp) aren’t yet capable to do that.

My WAN is on IPv4.
Logs from Plexamp are as follows:

I have removed my actual server name and replaced my current public IPv4 address with XX-XXX-XXX-XX

Restarted my Plex container AND my phone for about the sixth time and now Plexamp is working again on 4G.

No idea why I had to restart so many times - havent changed anything else - no network settings, no plex settings, nothing.

I’ll keep an eye on it but very weird.

Almost certainly something related to your networking internally or router. Also recommend publishing server on ports 443, 8443, or something else generic like that, makes it less likely cellular providers will block.

Error -7 means it simply couldn’t connect to that address/port.
