Unable to locate plex media server, running on the same pc

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: plex Web; phones; android TV
Server Type: Windows 10

I had problems accessing my server from any device, and i got a new Intel NUC to use as a PMS so i decided to move it over. I followed the instructions at https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/

Everything was fine until the " Sign Out and Back in to the Server" step. I loaded plex web, signed in and saw the “there is an unclaimed media server”, so i clicked that and was then taken to a webpage that said "No soup for you! You do not have access to this server"

I cannot access the PMS on the PC it’s installed on, nor any other PC on my network, nor any of the three phones in the house logged into my account, nothing. All attempts take me to a page with out any servers listed and just says “Get your Plex Media Server”, even though i just installed it.

On PC I’ve tried Chrome, Edge and IE, no luck.

The icon is in the task bar and the service is running.

http://127.0.0.1:32400/web ; localhost:32400/web ; localip:32400/web all take me to the aforementioned no server found page.

Here is my log.
Plex Media Server.log (249.5 KB)

Do you have a firewall running on your new server??? Also instead of 127.0.0.1, localhost, or ip, did you try https://apps.plex.tv/ ???

No firewall at all, and apps.plex.tv has the same result as local host and the others

Do a search here on the forum for “No soup for you”… I found at least 50 threads… Although I didn’t look though them all I did find one that was solved but without a very good explanation here

I had to the same problem. In the Plex QA/support it says to delete the following keys (PlexOnlineMail,
PlexOnlineToken, PlexOnlineUsernam) in “registry editor” but I had to delete the whole folder in registry editor, not just those 3 keys.

If you wanna give it a try, search for regedit in start menu or Win+R and then navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.
and delete the the folder named “Plex Media Server”.
