Unable to make direct connection outside of home network - Officially giving up.

Hi all,

I have been a multi year user of Plex on my QNAP ts471 pro and it has run for years without any issues. I love Plex and the QNAP has performed like a true workhorse throughout the years. The last year or so, I have been unable to make a direct onnection to my NAS from an external network. I considewr myself decently tech savvy, and I’ve spent multiple nights and weekends trying to fix this issue by going through all steps detailed by perople who have had this issue and managed to solve it.

As I seem unable to solve this myself, I am soliciting anyone here willing to help me solve it through a skype call / screen share or the like, I will of course compensate you for your trouble.

I hope it’s ok make a post like this, I am truly out of ideas as to how I can solve this issue.

i ran into this issue on virgin media in the uk. it stopped one day for no reason at all. some say it was due to them changing to a spurious version of ipv6, port 32400 must have been blocked. so i changed the external port to 32401 and had the internal set to 32400 and it worked. maybe give that a bash?

I know how frustrating it is to have it just stop working for no reason.
