I’m unable to match this show using the Plex TV Series agent. I tried searching using the TVDB, TMDB, and IMDB ids. Is there any way to get this working? Seems wild that it exists on all three and still can’t be matched by Plex.
Probably too new. Record on TMDb was created on Nov 20 – usually it took Plex 2-4 days to ingest new records. From what I’ve seen, this can take longer these days.
I agree. I made a test folder and Plex did not match but jellyfin did. That usually mean its just not pulled into the Plex agent yet. I’ am guessing it will match by the end of this coming week.
I did a metadata refresh today and my test folder is now matching. My setup defaults to TMDB and that is definitely what it matched to. I tried to change to TVDB (aired) matching but the only episode ordering listed is TMDB. TVDB actually has episode names vs Episode 1, 2, etc. Perhaps the TVDB data hasn’t been ingested yet.
Is it pulling descriptions? I was able to match it now but it doesn’t really seem to be pulling any metadata. Even after removing and re-adding the directory.
Interesting. I can’t seem to get that at all. Restarting Plex, removing and emptying the trash, etc. It’ll match but doesn’t seem to pull much metadata.
Hmmm, possibly the “Plex Agent” we match to is more of a distributed system that we match with based on location. I.e. the server I talk to is on the US East Coast and perhaps your system is communication to a server on the West Coast. Maybe this system (if it is setup like this) hasn’t fully synchronized. Its a wild guess on my part but about all I can think of without knowing the system better. Hopefully smarter people than me will have an idea.

What is selected in the properties of this library, on the Advanced tab, for
“Scanner” and for “Agent”?
Sorry you’re right, that’s the scanner. The agent is Plex Series.
