I am unable to any videos after upgrading to 1.18.9.2571. I get “Playback Error” - “There was an unexpected error during playback. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems.”. I tried several reboots after the upgrade, ut same result.
I have rolled-back to 1.18.8.2527, but I am still getting the same error after several reboots.
After applying 1.18.8.2527 again and another server reboot. I am able to play all videos.
Hey John! I’m glad everything is back up and running for you. but I’ve got a question…for the last few days I’ve had an issue where 1)I can’t update my Plex library and 2)I can’t play any movies in the library. I can see them all but when I try to play one I get this message “Media unavailable…The file associated with this item is not accessible by the server. Please verify that the file exists and the necessary drive is accessible.” Any help offered would be greatly appreciated
I am learning now that Engineering did an an unexpected release of 1.18.9 with transcoder corrections.
If anyone can supply log files from 1.18.9 with problems, knowing that 1.19.2 is about to release as well, I will do my best to have these problems fixed with it.

Media Unavailable (the red trash can) is a permissions problem or a remote mount problem.
From the time PMS first saw the media, it now is a) offline / not mounted or b) permissions at the top level mount point (above the section root) block PMS access.
