Unable to Port Forward

Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200

Im not sure if this is where I should be for this topic. I have the Server running on a PC with Windows 11 pro. I have a brand new Windows 11 Pro and Im trying to Port forward My Arris Modem/Router Surfboard to get re hooked up back with the plex server. I cant seem to get it working. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Please help this is what my Arris Modem Router looks like. Please help.

Service Name: Plex Server
Service Type: TCP
External Server IP address: [leave empty]
External start port: some random number between 10000 and 50000
External end port: the same number as above
Internal server IPv4 address: [the IP of your Plex server] Ensure it is stable by either creating a DHCP address reservation in your router, or by manually assigning your plex server an internal IP.
Internal start port: 32400
Internal end port: 32400

Put the same number from “External start port” into the plex configuration, under
Settings - [server] - Remote Access - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Manually specify public port”. Make sure the checkbox is ticked as well.

Internal server IPv4 address: [the IP of your Plex server] be the Private one under Remote Access?

The one that appears in the properties of the network connection of your Windows machine.

Thats the one I have and it still is not letting me through on the Plex

You need to set the network connection in Windows to “Private”. It must not be “Public”.

And even that is no guarantee. If your ISP has put you behind a CG-NAT, you can do what you want, you won’t be able to access your server from the outside.

How would I set up a DHCP Address reservation on the router

Conslt your router’s user manual. It depends on the router model and manufacturer whether that is possible at all, and how it’s done.

Well let me ponder this for a few days and see. It used to work but its been a long time since I have had to do this. Im not much of a IP config person. Wish I was.
