Unable to see plexamp on rpi for remote control on same LAN

I have a plexamp running in docker that is directly connected to the LAN. i.e. I’m able to connect to the webUI directly on an IP address assigned to the container. So all broadcast traffic from plexamp and to plexamp is the same as running directly on the host.

I’m able to see a plexamp running on an android phone because I turned on remote control, but I don’t see any of these settings in the docker hosted plexamp UI. Am I missing something? It does connect to plex.tv to announce, because I can controll over the cloud via homeassistant.
However, I signed into claim the plexamp on both the android phone and this docker plexamp using a “universal” account in my plexhome. my personal phone Is using “my” plexhome account, so only broadcast discovery should work.

Running plexamp 4.10.1 in a self made docker image.

So i can remote control the plexamp only when signed into the same plex home account.

I want to control the plexamp from any account in my plex home so my family can control the common speaker. Is this not possible

Headless streaming remote need plex pass account

Not really relevent since my main account has plex pass and can’t see the plexamp signed in as a plexhome account. But i can remote control when i switch to that same plex home account.

The goal is to use a plexhome user i designated a service account so anyone else in my household that tried to control the plexamp wouldn’t mess up the play history of a real user signed into plexamp
