Unable to set Label and/or Content Restrictions for Managed Users

I have a Lifetime Plex Pass. Per the documentation I should be able to set “Label” and “Content Restrictions” for managed users: https://support.plex.tv/articles/203948776-managed-users/

I was able to do this before, and I had a user that had this setup but it seems to have dis-appeared recently probably due to an update. Please fix

Functionality is still there…

1. Open https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing (alternatively you can also do that from some Plex clients)
2. Click on the user you want to edit
3. Go to the Restrictions tab
4. Click the Edit link next to the Movies, TV Shows or Music lines to which you want to apply/change a label/restriction

For managed users you can also define a “restriction profile” (e.g. “young kid”, “older kid”, “teen”, “no restriction”)

Hi @tom80H - Thanks for assisting. Unfortunately I’m not seeing the “Movies, TV Shows or Music” area that you mention. Here are some screenshots for you:

the free online media from plex, is configured at ‘online media services’ however there is no profile settings for these, you can simply enable/disable them.

whether or not that content follows the restrictions for managed users, I do not know (all my managed users are adults and can choose for themselves).

edit, also only those sections which are enabled, can you enforce restrictions on.

in your screenshot above, you do not have tv or music enabled.

in this one below, I can set those restrictions because those libraries are enabled for this user

you are using a pre-defined profile “older kid”, you cannot control the restrictions with a preset profile, you must set the profile to NONE.

Rather than creating a new thread for the same thing, I’d like to append to this. I’m having a similar issue. I’m trying to set tag restrictions for music. I have the restriction for the managed user set to None and have set “Exclude” filter to the tags I don’t want this user to see. It doesn’t seem to work. Is there something else that I’m missing in the setup? In this current setup, no restrictions are getting applied for this user. Artists and albums with the excluded tags are still available to the user.
