I have been running a Plex server locally for around 10 years now. I paid for a plex pass years ago but only as a kick back to the devs, I have no desire to expose my library to the internet and only view my library locally or through a VPN as I have a number of private photo albums on the server.
I’m trying to set up my Firestick to connect to the server but the manual connection setting appears to be missing.
The plex server itself is on a different VLAN to my firestiick and TV (they’re both on a guest network which can only access the internet and nothing else by default) but the guest VLAN IS allowed access to the Plex server on port 32400 and this worked the last time I checked it a year or two back, but something has changed within the app and now it is insisting on trying to access servers through my Plex account rather than by me being able to set them up locally.
Is there any way to revert to the previous behaviour where I can point the Plex app to the IP address of my server to view my media?
