Plex will not stream my live TV. It just keeps giving me the error “Unable to tune channel”. This has been going on intermittently for the last 2 days. The solution has been to reboot the media PC, then restart Plex. But now even after that, no local channel streaming for the St. louis area is working. I’m running this on Windows 10 PC which, until now, I’ve had no issues with for the last year. If you need more information, please respond.
I have had the same issue… the only solution I’ve found is to downgrade plex to a previous version where it worked.

My problem MIGHT be related to the inability to acquire secure connections to a PLEX server on the internet. Today, without changing the version of PMS on my PC, I once again tried to live stream a TV program. PMS failed as expected, but then asked if I wanted more details. I replied YES, and got an error stating something about an error with secure connections. It then asked if I wanted to allow unsecure connections. I thought … “what the heck” … and answered yes. When I did that, and then tried live streaming once again, it worked. In my mind, that should have had nothing to do with streaming TV content, because I have my outside antenna coming into my computer, and that’s where the TV channel signal is coming from. In my mind, the problem of streaming would happen if PMS on my desktop was unable to acquire the signal coming from my HDHomerun streaming box that is connected to the antenna coax.
Obviously there’s more to the process of live TV streaming than just having PMS on my local PC which gets the signal from my HDHomerun which gets it from my outside antenna. I’d like to know how the Plex servers on the Internet come into the overall architecture of the Plex model … (which by the way is a WONDERFUL thing) … so that when problems occur, I can do some troubleshooting.
If you or anybody else can offer any suggestions about secure connections, or tell me where to do more reading about the architecture of Plex, I’d appreciate it. Looks like once I selected unsecure connections, life is better. I should, however, probably work toward getting secure connections working.
