There are no ‘user share requests’ in Plex.
There are only ‘invitations’, to access a shared server.
(Maybe the inviter is giving them in the hope that sharing will be mutual, but that is totally up to the invited user.)
If the user is unknown to you, simply deny the invitation and be done with it.
I got one too yesterday. Just wondering how they got my email to ask for the share. Ignoring it along with all the normal spam/scam stuff I get was easy though.
i got one too but it ended up being cancelled i think the user is phishing for shares
They don’t need the email for an invitation. The Plex username is enough.
The email is sent by plex.tv
Yes, ignore/erase the email.
When you go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users/friends
decline the invitation.
