Unmatched episodes from specific season, why?

hi

i have some difficulties with specific series with specific season, all episodes from the season 6 is unmatched by plex (except one episode from the 14, idk why)

folder structure is applied, like all my medias by sonarr.

this is the XML file of one of the 13 episodes unmatched :

my library is set to tvdb by default.

Please try this naming:

Top Mecanic 5 jours pour restaurer une épave/
  Season 6/
    Top Mecanic 5 jours pour restaurer une épave - S06E16 - TBA - [WEBDL-720p][FR].mkv
    Top Mecanic 5 jours pour restaurer une épave - S06E17 - TBA - [WEBDL-720p][FR].mkv
    etc...

I removed the [imdbid-]
I use the complete title in folder name and file name.
I used Season 6
I removed an extra - in the file name.

Name all files and seasons that way, then Plex dance the whole series is my suggestion.

just tried your suggestion : but nothing changes (tested with whole plex dance btw, and just put season 6 in plex)

I made a very simple test folder for this series and just like you, the only episode that seemed to match was s06e21. I am guessing the Plex Agent has not fully populated itself.

I’m thinking the Plex Agent not being fully populated is even more likely. I also run Jellyfin on this same server that I set up the test and jellyfin pulled S6 episode metadata for the episodes I made

Maybe now it’s time experiment putting the tvdb ID into the folder name. It uses curly braces.

If that doesn’t work, you might have to go as far as using .plexmatch as described in this article.

Also recently there have been issues matching shows when TMDB doesn’t have in its summary the TVDB ID and TVDB doesn’t have the TMDB ID. The two sites cross referencing each other is important apparently. A few users have fixed their own issues by adding those IDs to the site missing them and it fixed PMS.
