Looks like something else on your machine is using the port/address (giving Plex a address in use error). If there’s no other apps… have you already tried rebooting your QNAP to see if this sorts things?

If I may add to Tom,

This release of PMS for QNAP includes new scripting controls to address this problem.

The control has been written to be more aggressive when performing a forced stop.

If, after initial upgrade, you find PMS ‘stuck’ as it is now,

Start - wait 30 seconds - stop wait 30 more seconds - Start- wait 30 - stop

Now it should start normally.

Hello everyone,

First of all, thanks for your answer =) !

I just try what you did but it’s still the same problem.

However about my address already in use, i’m kinda skeptical because it worked properly before the upgrade.

The only one application using the port 32400 is my Plex server.

Do you have any others ideas ?

Thanks you

Valentin

I just rebooted my NAS like 8 times et now it’s working.

WTF is happening.

At least, thanks a lot for your time

I am having the same problem with the server, I’m using an Nvida Shield as my server, since the update its all messed up, I don’t understand why update something that isn’t broken and then break it with an update, I even have issues with remote accessing from outside the network, big issue know is I can’t even access Live TV & DVR via remote access please fix this issue

For those of you with this issue,

Please SSH into the qnap.

With Plex ‘stuck’ in this state (where stopping it in app center and restarting twice doesn’t clear it)

at the ssh command line ps -ef | grep -i plex

Please let me know what you find.

If need be, I will give you an updated plex.sh until after I can formally update again after the holidays
