These symptoms indicate a database corruption.
See instructions at https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/ for more info
Hi, I have the same problem as the OP (updated to 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476, had the same error), but on Mac (Mojave 10.14.1). I followed instructions for repairing corrupt database, not only it didn’t work, but now the server isn’t even launching anymore. Tried a reinstall from the Plex website, no luck. Can’t find where to download previous versions for downgrade.
I have a big library, manually tweaked, so I’d rather not dump everything and start from scratch.
Could you get some logs? I’d like to see how that goes.
Sure, let me know if those are sufficient. Plex Media Server.zip (2.2 MB)
Thanks!
Same issue here after latest update.
Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems"
First started showing up when going into some tv shows, now showing up in home.
A rollback to Version 1.14.0.5470 seems to have resolved the issues.
New user here and am getting the same error. How do I find version 1.14.0.5470?
Hello,
Same issue here with the QNAP version 1.14.1.5488.
I had to revert to 5470 to have access to the TV guide again.
Aps.
When you go to download the installation file, just make sure to select the non-Plex pass version (the last version released to public. Just slide the slider to the left.
EDIT 1: Looks like the powers-to-be at Plex consider 1.14.1.5488 acceptable for the mainstream.
EDIT 2: I found it online. One such locations is: https://www.filehorse.com/download-plex-media-server/37564/ Good luck!
had the same issue. I downloaded and copied sqlite3 into the plex directory then restarted Plex and it was fixed.

Same issue here as OP. Any updates?
I just fixed this with
sudo apt install plexmediaserver=1.14.0.5470-9d51fdfaa
sudo apt install plexmediaserver
I think in one of the previous updates the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/plexmediaserver.list
was commented out. I had to uncomment it and; apt update
before doing the above.
hope this helps
you have to downgrade to the older version 1.14.0.5470 and this will fix it. Your database is completely fine. you can get it here https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/1.14.0.5470-9d51fdfaa/plexmediaserver_1.14.0.5470-9d51fdfaa_amd64.deb (this is the Linux version) I had to downgrade to an earlier version and it fixed everything. If you need a windows version, you’ll have to google around for a link. Plex does not delete the older versions, but does not have a direct link for the archived ones as well.
Been having the same issue since December. Finally found this thread. Can anyone help me by providing a link to version 1.14.0.5470 for macos? I tried searching for it but couldn’t find it. I tried the link and it just forwarded me to https://plex.tv/downloads.
I found it.
After further investigation, I cannot seem to access the libraries within the Plex Server via the web browser (accessing the Library directories)… However I can access it via SSH via Terminal and WinSCP File Manager. That is causing the issue. Not sure if it’s a permissions issue or if there is something we can do to fix this. Even a fresh install does not seem to fix this either. Still searching for a resolution.
Disregard last message… nothing to do with permission… The only thing I can think of is parts of the database might not be compatible with the upgraded version or maybe it got corrupted somehow I’m not sure. I’ve tried repair and two upgrades and nothing works… When I go back to the older version, everything is fine… I ended up reinstalling and rebuilding my library from scratch which took a few days… At least everything is working now and I have the latest version of Ubuntu Server and Plex 1.15.1.710. The older versions may work, but eventually the newer client apps will start rejecting them.
