Updated App, now can't view synced media

Hi there,
Yesterday I updated Plex on my Ipad and I have a bunch of Synchronised media already on it. Since applying the update I can no longer view my sync’d media when I turn my server off. this is worrying and extremely bad timing as I am about to leave, travelling with work for weeks!! I need my media!

Any ideas why this has happened or what to do?

Tap the user icon in the upper right and flip the switch for “Offline Mode” (quotes because it very much still communicates with the server in this mode). Now the app will show only the content you have synced.

Oh, and if you exit the app, you’ll need to turn “Offline mode” off then back on again… a bug they’ll hopefully fix sometime soon.

This is super annoying! I noticed that there was no “this device” option any more. The offline mode is misleading and seems like a convoluted design choice.

There are already topics about this in the Mobile Device category with iOS and Android tags, so Plex is already well aware that many aren’t happy.

I don’t have a preference myself (only just recently started using the Sync function more frequently), but if they’re going to call it “Offline Mode”, my take is that it should be completely communication-free, not “We’ll only play from your phone, but still talk to your server if possible.”
