So I use Windscribe VPN, and all used to be well as of a couple days ago. I updated my Plex server either yesterday or the day before, and now I can’t get any movie matches when I add media while my VPN is turned on. Windscribe offers a VPN for the computer as a whole, as well as a chrome plugin which can both be enabled at the same time to create a double hop within the browser. Usually when a website doesn’t like being accessed through a VPN, I can enable the chrome plugin to double hop and 99% of the time everything works fine. From the banging my head against the wall session I had earlier, I found that Plex will connect to the metadata agents if either there is no VPN connection at all, or if the chrome plugin is enabled without the main VPN running protecting my entire internet connection. Just wondering if this is a bug that could possibly be fixed in a future update, or was it by design and now I have to disable my VPN every time I add media to my libraries?
Edit: I misspoke, this seems to only affect movies. Maybe something with the new scanner agent?
