I have synology DS1520+ running Version 1.29.2.6364. I have done the last several updates and after the updates when i play any video that is x265 it buffers and doesn’t get past 33% for at least 5 minutes. Local/remote doesn’t matter running on Roku Ultra to Streaming Stick +.
Then I have to re-vert back to Version 1.29.2.6364 from the Synology package Center and all is well again…WHY ???
There have been some cases where the Transcoder options got reset during the update (weird). Did you check that?
If you do manage to update to 1.31.3 or higher, I would appreciate seeing the DEBUG server logs ZIP file which captures the playback problem you’re having.
I’ll be able to see why it’s not working because there are many users with the J4125 CPU without incident. If there’s something unique to your Syno/installation then I want to know and resolve that.
Thank you for the reply…

How do I check this ??
Settings - Server - Transcoder - Show Advanced.
Toggle them off… SAVE
Toggle them back on. SAVE
Yes.
In that screenshot. Do you have HDR content to tone map?
Those are my settings; yes screenshot. I’ve never had HDR tome mapping turned on.
After I did the update before. I checked the transcoding settings and nothing had changed.
Here is a full look at my settings:
Can you please make certin DEBUG (server) logging is enabled and recreate the breakage. (about first 10 seconds of playback is all that’s needed)
Then download the ZIP server logs and attach it here.
