UPnP enable but still can't direct remote access

Server Version#: 1.25.4.5487

I have been trying to set up remote access from my Synology 920+ NAS for the past year now and I got it to connect to the NAS but via a relay, not directly. I enabled UPnP on my router and the router’s config page showed local and public NAS address, still the Plex page says “Not available outside your network”. So I tried Manually specify public port and enable Port Forwarding in router setting instead. Still Plex page say “Not available outside your network”. Did I missed something? What else must I try?

Thank you.

Do you have a public IPv4?

This is the one I must ask from the ISP right?
Because if so then I believe my ISP has additional charge for them. Does it have to be static IPv4 or Dynamic IPv4 is also fine? And can I use IPv6 instead?

Thank you.

Dynamic ipv4 is sufficient.

Unfortunately Plex has not added ipv6 remote access that works the same way as ipv4s. Ridiculous in 2022, isn’t it?

Check this: How to set up fully dynamic IPv6 remote access with Plex - cetteup.com

Keep in mind that you need create a script that updates your ipv6 if you don’t have a static prefix and PMS can be reached only via ipv6
