Users unable to connect through web, but works from phone/apps

Hi all,

Since yesterday users have been unable to reach my Plexserver through browsers. We’ve tried through Chrome, Firefox and IE, cleared cookies/history, all with the same result.

Looking at my server status I do have the green checkbox that everything is working, and it says " Fully accessible outside your network". The server is a Ubuntu-box running version 1.12.3.4973. I’ve tried restarting the service, as well as rebooting the whole server. I’m skeptical to updating to the newest version as there seem to be some login errors with the newest version (Cannot Login to Plex Server).

Anyone else experiencing the same issue, or have any ideas on how to solve this? The box has been up and running for about two years prior without any issues, and I’ve done no changes on my end.

Do you have the “secure connection” set to required or preferred in the Network section (plex settings)? If it is set to required that could be something. Just a guess at this point.

Have you tried turning off router and modem for a few minutes?

Secure Connections is set to Preferred, so unfortunately not that, good tip tho.

I have reset my firewall, yes, no luck there either. :confused:

You can either update your server to the latest beta version or direct your users to app.plex.tv
