I’m guessing as its a new movie there is some funkiness happening with the plex backend cache servers but this should be consolidated/merged/fixed. Selected each gives two different types of meta data, downloaded …
What ? Are you saying that every movie should now match two records when doing search ? If so this is not the case as I just checked 4 other movies and all 4 only return 1 record each.
I just got informed that this is a known issue and it will be fixed.
You can pick either of these. Once the fix is implemented, they will correct themselves, should you ever Refresh the Metadata of this item.
@OttoKerner as an fyi… I’ve found that Malcolm & Marie and Wrong Turn also has this problem with two records returned.
Another side effect of this is that the default one which is found using auto match does not contain any reviews which then means they are missing for those movies.
Is there an eTA on when this will be resolved ?
btw… I’ve also renamed the title of this post as its effecting more than just one movie…
I’ll add Flora & Ulysses to the ever growing of list of movies with this problem. There is certainly something funky happening on the back end with plex with the movie agent …
@drzoidberg33 fyi in case you are not aware of this problem as I know you worked on the code in this area.
@adriana been keeping an eye on this every few days and Malcolm & Marie , Wrong Turn and Space Sweepers all still have this problem.
I can also confirm and add Moxie, The Letter Room and Raya and the Last Dragon to this every growing list of movies with problems. I bet if I checked every movie in my library there would be a looooooooong list.
The easiest way to know if a movie has this problem is to let the auto match complete and see if there is any reviews shown on the webui for the movie. All the ones above have none but will if you fix match off their second found item on the list.
No wonder I had a helluva time getting Raya and the Last Dragon to automatically combine a 480p and a 1080p version. I’m sure I plex danced them 3 times, and finally gave up and merged them manually. When I checked, both versions before manually merging the individual items in the library showed them matched, and auto-match didn’t fix/combine.
That movie now has 3 entries, select the 3rd one if you want the Rotten Tomato reviews.
Yeah, think the problem is that in the back end these all need to get merged into a single entry rather than being multiples. Trouble with selecting a second or third is that I lose my TMDB ratings which I use on my library.
So better for me to lose reviews rather than my default rating source. Hopefully will get fixed at some point.
