Why am I getting the error vcruntime140.dll is missing. Ive reinstalled and it still doesn’t work. what have to changed. I’ve been using this for a long time now I’m getting this error, WHY
What did you re-install?
Go to Microsoft’s website and download the ‘Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable’ and install it on your PC.
If asked, pick the ‘x86’ version.

To be able to install this, your Windows needs to be up-to-date with all Windows updates.
If you’re using Windows 7, you need to have Service Pack 1 and Internet Explorer 11 installed.
I have the same issue and get an error when downloading the Visual C++2015 any more advice?

or you get an error when trying to install it?
The wording of the error would’ve been helpful.
But I assume it complains that it is already installed, right?
So go to your Windows Software control panel and deinstall the Visual C++2015 (x86) runtime.
Then reboot and try to instzall the downloaded version again.
I solved it by uninstalling the Visual C++ 2017 runtimes and re-installing the 2015 runtimes. The 2015 installer reported a newer version was already installed and failed to run. After removing the 2017 runtimes and installing 2015, Plex started right up. I suspect another application installed the 2017 runtimes which broke Plex.
Finally i solved, i have a 64 bits system but plex want you to install x86 2015 runtime C++ visual studio
