Videos are not played from any browser

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395 docker version
Player Version#: webplayer ¿ 1.13.8.5395?

I have installed PLEX server 1.13.8.5395 docker version on a debian server. When trying to play a video from a web browser, the video does not play. I have tried with different PCs, SOs (W10, Debian, ubuntu, iOS), browsers (Edge, Firefox, Safari, IE), video formats (mp4, mkv, avi,…) and the problem persists.
If I use the Windows PC client, the video plays correctly. I have tried several transcoding options and the problem persists.
The music library works well.

In the Plex Media Server.log file, I only see one error line.

[0x7fb031ffe700] DEBUG - Extras: Preroll values looks like a file, and we had 1 of them.
[0x7fb031ffe700] ERROR - Extras: Preroll file did not exist or could not be read: ‘’.

Can anybody help me?
Thanks you

Sounds like you have the option set to play some trailers before a movie, which also includes playing the preroll, and that is causing an issue. Set the number of trailers back to 0 and see if that resolves the problem. Then you can change it back and try removing the pre-roll you have set and see if that also helps.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it’s not that because I have that option disabled.

I have also tried disabling “direct repodrodudcción” and “direct retransmission” in the section “Web Client” - “Debugging” but the error persists.
What intrigues me most is that it only happens with web browsers (regardless of OS, Browser).
Maybe someone can help me if I activate the “depuration level” option - “detailed” and I enclose the log?

By the way, I managed to find the web player version.
Version 3.69.1

The web server is updated to Versión 1.13.9.5456 (docker)

The lines you posted above are about the preroll. If you have that option off in the Web player, then you have another issue. Please recreate the issue and provide the entire log for me to review.

What log file should I attach? Is any configuration necessary for some more detailed log?
By the way, I reinstalled plex server the problem persists. I remember that it is the version of docker linuxserver / plex /

Make sure debug logging is on, verbose logging is turn off. Repeat playback then grab the entire log package using Plex Web (Settings \ Server \ Help \ Download Logs) and just provide me that zip file.

the error was recreate around 23:08 1Oct.
Thanks

Any ideas on how I could solve the problem?
Does anyone have any idea where I could try to investigate? I do not even know what log file to focus on.

Your logs say the transcoder just straight out failed. Can you provide me a copy of that file so I can test it.

Thanks for your help. Sorry, but I’m not sure what file you need. Do you need the video file? I test with 3 different videos (2 avi and 1 mkv)

Yes, any video file that you repeated get this issue on. Upload it to a cloud location like dropbox or Google drive and PM me a link to the file.

Hi, I had a problem with the server and I had to reinstall it.
The problem persists. I remember that with Plex Media Player the video does play. It only fails through browsers.
I attach the new logs. I reproduced the problem again at 0:21 on November 8.
I also attach a test video.
Thanks agains and sorry for my english.

I’m not sure how, but I’ve already made it work. Thank you very much for your assistance
