Videos Stop Playing After One Minute (Used to keep playing)

A fe months ago I bought a WD My Cloud Home NAS that’s connected to a Google WiFi router and managed from a Mac desktop. I downloaded the Plex app on all my devices (if the My Cloud app wasn’t available) because it was recommended in the NAS’s desktop app. I’ve been able to play full videos from Plex on all my devices while on my home wi-fi but now they stop after one minute as if I’m off my wi-fi. I am curious as to what caused this but my main concern is getting it back to normal.

when you say the play back stop after one minute when you are off your wifi. this sounds like the mobile limitation if the device is not activate ($5) and or if you are not a plex pass subscriber. can you let us know if you are a plex pass member and what device are you using where you see this issue.

as I see you have labels on this thread of android-mobile and fire-tv. i assume you are using a fire-tv on your home network and the android mobile when you are off of your network.

I use Plex on a Note 5 Android phone, Amazon sticks, an Amazon tablet, and a Toshiba Amazon Fire TV. I never paid for Plex but was able to stream entire movies as long as I was on my network at home.

The only one minute cut off occurs on mobile devices. The Firesticks and Tv play without stopping. But it wasn’t the case until a few days ago. I often watched movies on my tablet. But now I can’t.

The fact that the 1 minute limitation stopped being applied for a while was due to an error on our side that we’ve now fixed, sorry for the inconvenience.

Do I have to pay $5 per mobile device or just once for all of them?

And I thought I saw (somewhere on the website) that streaming was free as long as I’m on my home network. And it seems odd that I can watch all I want on my TVs (all have Amazon sticks) but not on my Amazon tablet while sitting in a room with one of those same TVs.

Sorry but this is all confusing for me.

You might get a Plex Pass Life and have all mobile devices on your account working with no limitations.
