I’m a recent Plex use & Pass member… mostly use, and I’m used to Kodi. Is there a folder view in Plex? For Other Videos (comprised of home videos, demos/samples, etc.), I’d love a simple list view of those video files or even a thumbnail view? Possible?
Not overly elegant but possible 
In the library view, there’s several drop-downs in the header:
- Filters (here: “All”)
- What will be displayed (here: “Movies” and “Folders”)
- for tv-show libraries, there’s “Shows”, “Seasons”, “Episodes” and “Folders”
- for music libraries, there’s “Artists”, “Albums”, “Tracks” and “Folders”
- Sort Order (here “By Title” and “By Release Date”)
Grouping/displaying a library by folders will give you a rather limited experience (e.g. no filtering/sorting).

That helps quite a bit… hope Plex devs consider adding categories or sub-Other Videos options (in my case, I have home videos, music videos, a/v test clips, etc.).
To me, these sound like they should be in separate libraries.
