Visibility to Library Details

Hi very new to Plex. Tried to set up a music server on a Synology NAS. But when I register the library I see \volume1\music, but nothing more (would assume it could see inside the music folder. When the scan runs it doesnt find anything, so I suspect it is a permissions issue, but I cant figure out what might be causing this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you’re running your server on the Synology NAS, make sure the system user for the server has access to your media. This will depend on what version of DSM you’re using on that NAS (DSM 5/6 vs. 7).

Thanks - so according to the article, it would appear that I need to create additional users - Plex and Plex Media Server, correct?

Ah - found the problem. Plex Media is listed as an System Internal User with no permissions. Added them. Things appear to be proceeding now. Thanks again
