Media/Nas folders not available in Add Library step (PMS set permission for read/write)

Hi, I’ve recently purchased a Synology DS220+ to replace my old WD nas. I’ve set this up, installed Plex, moved over media files to a separate folder and set system user permissions for PMS as read/write.

Despite all this I cant see my NAS drive/folders anywhere in Plex. When I click ‘browse for a media folder’ all I see is a backslash, config and volume 1 folders with app files in it.

I’ve trawled through this forum and google but its all suggesting i add system user permissions which i already have.

Please help, i’m generally pretty good at fixing this sort of thing but at an absolute dead end on this one

To what exact system user have you granted access to your media files? The user is different depending on if you’re on DSM 5/6 or DSM 7…

Tom, thanks so much for your quick response. I’ve actually just stumbled on the answer… my media files are deep within in the ‘volume 1’ folder. A soul crushing answer to hours lost but its finally resolved. Thanks again.
