Vizio App not connecting to server but connects to plex online

The app refuses to connect to remote server but connects to plex online library. Other devices (Roku,Xbox,desktops) all connect to the remote server fine. I have tried just about everything I can think of and it will not connect to my remote server. Allow Insecure Connections is set to always. Prefer Insecure Connections is set to Never. Tried various combinations of those settings as well as specifying my public up in the manual servers section. Have even factory restored the tv a few times. I have also tried multiple account with different remote servers.

Does the Plex app on the Vizio identify itself as
“Plex for Vizio”
or
“Plex for Smart TVs”
?

If the latter, it is the restricted app, which does only support a limited set of Plex features.

If the former, you might have an DNS-related issue. Try using 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 as DNS server, instead of the one provided by your ISP.
If there is an advanced DNS resolver software in the local network, see that it doesn’t enforce Secure DNS, or applies other filters to domain names.
