I am trying to get the Plex app working on my TV, but I keep getting a “Plex is unable to start due to an error” message. The only option available is to Reset Plex.
My TV is a Vizio V505-G9 on version 2.60.13-3
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried using setting Manual server, in the TV app. Add your Server LAN IP and port 32400
In your Server/ network settings make sure the settings are similar / replace with your addresses to following.
Disable IPv6 in your Vizio network settings.
If your TV is similar to LG the app settings also has a advanced area where you will need to allow insecure connections locally
Now, I was getting a different error of “We couldn’t reach a media server,” but I was able to manually put in the IP address and it showed up.
