Vodafone UK down - can I get my Plex TV app to run locally?

I have my own plex media server on my home network.

Our broadband went out today (vodafone outage), whilst my TV is connected to the home network, the Plex app won’t launch. Before I go hunting for a HDMI lead to hookup my laptop and tv together and run via the local address for the player, is there a way to get the plex TV app (LG TV) to run locally instead? - its reporting an error stating make sure I have internet connection.

Its my first question - go easy on me!

No chance with the LG app. I think it is one of those which are not really installed on the TV. They only have a “loader” app, which then fetches the actual Plex app from the internet when you open it on the TV – which it cannot do without an internet connection.
