When no internet connection in my network that TV is connected to,
the app isn’t starts(plex logo), even if the plex server is in the same network and the IP of the server is correct.
TV is connected directly via Ethernet cable to the network, same as plex server.
When connected to my Hotspot and the app is loaded, it loads with a wrong server IP address of the old network instead of scanning the connected network.
In some “Magically” way it starts to work only when hotspot let me to load up the app, adding manually the local IP address of the server and then it work.
If I close the app and trying to start it again, it requires the steps of Hotspot > app load > discovery.
The Plex app on webOS requires an internet connection to load. The portion Of the app installed on the device only serves to load the app from the web server.
But why I can’t load it offline wothout letting the online content to appear? It make no sense when I want to run it offline or in no internet connection days…
I have local server configured but I can’t pass the boot logo, It tries to load the app and writed under the boot logo “Unable to connect to the Internet” or so…
The app is loaded from thew web whenever it is launched. The app installed on your device is like a shortcut, it just tells the TV where to go to load the app.
