Still having this issue. I hope they also fix volume control with PHYSICAL BUTTONS! Every other casting app has figured out how to do this now. I don’t have a remote, so this is really annoying to not have it in the app.

I think it’s Plex. Every other casting app works fine — and some like Disney+ and Youtube and Hulu have the physical volume buttons enabled which is really great (and Plex has never had this even before when the volume worked in-app).
Maybe its part of their new simplification design strategy. It just confuses users to be able to adjust volume… really annoying PLEX just refuses to fix some bugs for months - sometimes even years.
Same issue here, really annoying!
Even on the old working version, I did not really like the fact that it was only adjustable with the volume buttons. It was often buggy. Would really appreciate the option to have a sliding bar in the app to adjust the volume somewhere, like on so many other similar apps.
I am also affected by this one, rather annoying
Same – iPad w/latest updates to iOS & Plex app, but no way to control Chromecast volume. Not cool. Please fix!!
Same here, iPhone X, iOS 13.2.3, Plex app 6.5
Agreed.
Here’s the funny part: the 6.5 update added the volume slider, so I was stoked - until I tried it. No effect on volume.
So now there’s a volume slider but it doesn’t work. Am I the only one with this issue?
Should be fixed now:
Yes, it is, and it’s returned to using the volume buttons, no slider. Perfect.
Thanks!
