After recent update to new server. New ios. Volume control no longer works with chromecast but works on other apps other than plex. Works on wifes ios updated device but she is running an older version of plex app. Does not have auto update. Is this a problem for anyone else?
Yes I have the same problem. Funny enough it’s only happening on iPad Air, not iPad Pro. Both are running iOS 13 with latest Plex player app. This has been broken for about a week now.
Same issue, running latest plex pass Linux on server. iPhone 7 Plus with latest iOS 13.1.1. Latest plex iOS app. Volume controls when casting are gone. Hitting the hardware iPhone buttons doesn’t adjust volume anymore.
Would also like to note that it would be nice to bring back the software volume control bar. Or have it accessible somehow. If someone’s volume rocker is broken then they have no way to adjust the volume through the plex app.
You can use the google home app to adjust your chromecast volume, but it’s a pain. So many steps to get to the volume control in the google home app vs being able to just have plex app open and then adjust easily… please bring back both the volume rocker buttons and the software volume slider! Thank you!!..
A new update to the iOS app was released last week…yet still the bug has not been fixed! Come on devs, can you give us any sort of status update here?
Kinda strange PLEX just goes Ostrich on this issue - seems like a pretty “important” bug to fix. Wonder if it’s only some users that are seeing it…
