My work requires I use the company VPN. Is there another solution besides launching Plex/PMS first and then turning on my VPN? Which I can remember to do as that seems to work but any other settings?? Thanks.
What VPN do they require you use? Most VPN’s you pay for have a feature called split tunneling.
Basically, you run everything behind the VPN but you can exclude certain apps that run on your regular ip address.
This also helps if you get blocked from certain sites because your VPN makes it appear that you’re in a geo-restricted location. You can just add a browser that you use for things like email, banking ect…

There maybe some pitfalls depending on which OS your using and your default Browser for plex Admin.
Monterey does not play friendly with Split tunneling but can be used with WiFi disabled on Server. As for Default Browser issue, I have bookmarked a Third party Browser with the Plex Server address and launch Plex Server via the Bookmark, instead of the Plex Chevron or Dock Plex Icon. Add the Third party Browser to Bypass VPN.
